About Equine Chiropractic
Animal Chiropractic, including Equine Chiropractic, has been around for a very long time. With chiropractic care, animals often have amazing results, just like people do. I was certified by The American Veterinary Chiropractic Association in 1997. I have taken many seminars since then, and given them.
I spent many years doing rehab on racehorses prior to qualifying as a Chiropractor for both horses and humans. During this time I learned that racehorses frequently have leg problems. In my racing days I treated hundreds of horses with bowed tendons. We iced them, painted them with every potion known to humanity, used magnetic boots and laser machines on them...if only I had known then what a subluxation was, I could have helped a lot more horses be pain free and win more races!
I have worked on some great show jumpers in the last 10 years. Grand Prix, speed classes, 1.2 metre and up jumps certainly take their toll on a horse's spine. The 3- to 5-year-olds hurt their backs easily, while the 6-year-olds and upwards tend to have chronic recurrent back problems. Knocking poles often jars horse’s shoulders and the bottom of their necks. Chiropractic care can sort these problems out.
I work on animals at your farm or at my centre in Newtowncunningham. I am also available for lectures on chiropractic and horses to your group or club. To book an appointment, ring (00353) 086 2393535 or the office on 074 9167007.
