Hi, I’m Dr. Victoria McKinney. I am from the USA, but I am now living in Donegal. I knew in 1997 when I relocated here that I would stay. I graduated from Chiropractic College in 1996. I was certified to treat animals in 1997. I live in the country with my six horses and three Jack Russell terriers.
I have an office in Letterkenny where I work four days a week on people. The other days I spend time providing chiropractic care for horses and other animals. I’ll adjust you and the horse you rode in on!
What is Chiropractic? Chiropractic is the best-kept secret in the world today. Chiropractic began in 1895 and has developed into the third largest health care profession in the world today. Chiropractors deal with the detection and the correction of vertebral subluxations. Subluxation consists of a spinal bone out of place interfering with brain/nerve function. Subluxation is sometimes called the "silent killer" because it can slowly eat away at your health without your having the slightest knowledge of its existence.
Chiropractors use posture analysis, gait analysis, and other means to assess problems in the spine. Adjustments are then given to the spine to enhance nervous system function. Specific exercises are sometimes recommended to assist the healing process.
I treat my human patients at my Letterkenny office (46 Port Rd, Letterkenny, Co Donegal), but for my equine/animal patients I either make house calls or have them come see me in Gortree, Newtowncunningham, Co. Donegal. I can be contacted for an appointment on (00353) 086 239 3535 or 074 916 7007.
